First meeting

Hi everyone,
the first meeting of the semester went well. Here are the highlights: Meetings have been changed to THURSDAYS at 8pm in Reed 114 beginning1/25. (This change was made so that meetings will not conflict with Dr. Mangone's rehearsal schedule). Eboard meetings (open to all) will be held from 7:30-8pm on Thursdays for anyone interested in attending. Again please send an email to the matchbox account if you have a conflict but wish to remain an active member. Otherwise, your eligibility to vote in this spring's election may be forfeited.

January 26- First improv of the semester 7-9pm Studio Theatre - Ryan Westwood is hosting - free pizza
February 8- Last day to buy tickets for Joseph and the AmazingTechnicolor Dreamcoat sign up at the RUB desk ASAP 16$ per ticket*specify if you need a ride or can give a ride to this event when you sign up
February 26- Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at theWarner Theatre 7:30pm

2. Jeremy is no longer the Matchbox webmaster because he does not fulfill the requirement of active membership. Meghan will be appointing a new webmaster at the next meeting. Anyone interested should contact Meghan or attend the next meeting to request the position. The webmaster is in charge of updating the website by uploading photos and posting current events whenever necessary.

3. The current date set for the Murder Mystery dinner conflicts with closing weekend for Dr. Mangone's musical. We're currently looking into resolving this. Otherwise, the script is still in the works and auditions are TBA. The basic theme will be a wedding and 4 female, 4 male and 1 either gender roles will be available to cast. There will be additional plants in the audience based upon who signs up to attendthe event.

4. Club Rush is next Wednesday from 11-2 in McGarvey commons. Matchbox Players will have a table and hopefully some goodies. Ideas for using our recruitment money (50$) include candy with paper fliers attached,and little matchboxes with stickers that show our meeting and improv dates. Since I am the only one from the eboard who can man the table for the entire club rush, anyone who can come out and sit with me fora few minutes/hours is welcome!!

5. In an attempt to keep meetings more organized we're trying out a new format. Anyone who wishes to discuss an issue can post in the"let's talk" section of Angel or contact a member of the eboard up until the day before each meeting. This will give the eboard time to put the issue on the itinerary. Meetings will go as follows: Secretary minutes / Events calendar, Treasurer's report, VP report, SGA report,President report, Open Forum.

6. Next meeting we will be discussing the possibility of getting clubt-shirts. We will also be discussing amendments to the constitution. The Matchbox Constitution can be found on Angel. Anyone wishing to suggest changes to the constitution should bring a copy of the constitution and their suggestions to the meeting. Sorry for the long e-mail. We talked about a lot of stuff today!
